I had lost 70 pounds on my own over the last 3 years but could never get past my lowest weight, tried everything. I was stuck in a rut and was losing hope I would ever get there. I read about the Amino Plan and am so excited I took the plunge and did it, best plan I’ve been on! After being on Phase 1 for 31 days, I lost a total of 22 pounds and countless inches. I started out at a size 8-10 and now I’m wearing a size 6. I’m doing Phase 2 and am still losing. I’ve reached my first goal of losing 20 pounds and have decided to keep following Phase 2 to see how much more I can lose. I have so much more energy and never feel bloated or sluggish. The drops really helped to curb my appetite but more importantly they gave me more energy. I was afraid that when I moved onto Phase 2 without the drops as often I might not feel the same way but that didn’t happen. I think continuing to eat the foods on the plan has definitely helped me continue on this journey.
The easiest part was following the plan, the booklet described everything perfectly. The only struggle I had was trying to prepare meals. I never realized how many things I cooked with (butter, dressings, etc.) that were contributing to me not losing the additional weight due to high sugar and calorie content. Once I found the right things to use (lemon juice, seasonings, low sodium broth, etc.) it became so much easier. The amount of energy I have, the amount of weight that came off quickly and the amount of support from the Amino family the Amino website online was the most amazing part. I’ve never had such a great support system and everyone was so helpful. I’ve also learned the most important part of the plan is combining a protein anytime you eat vegetables or fruit. The way you combine foods does make a huge difference.
Blood sugar has been perfect. No more high blood pressure. My doctor was very happy at how low my blood pressure was and how improved my cholesterol levels were. My family, my co-workers and my friends, were amazed at how much I had lost not only in pounds but also in inches. I will continue to do this for the rest of my life.
