We’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth! In the first half 2013, she used the Amino Diet Weight Loss Program to lose 95 pounds and completely transform her body. She started at a size 22 and weighed in at 237 pounds. By the end of her journey she was wearing a size 6 and weighed right around 142 pounds.
Elizabeth maintained her weight loss for a few months and even took up running. She completed many races and was enjoying her healthier and sexier body! In November of 2013, however, she went through a stressful period of life that included a new job, moving away from her husband and buying a new house without selling the old one. She responded the way that many of us do – by turning to food for comfort. Add on top of that the holidays and Elizabeth began seeing the number on the scale go back up. She didn’t gain all of it back… or even a lot of it back (went from a size six to a size 8) but she knew it was time for an Amino Diet refresher so she reached out to us and asked if she could video blog her journey this time around. We, of course, answered with a resounding yes!! Below is the first video and we already can’t wait for the second.
“Sooo.. yeah, let myself go a teensy bit during the stress of relocating, buying a house, getting a mortgage (seriously – that sucked so bad I am never ever ever moving ever again) and moving my husband and our four legged family out to Massachusetts.. as such, I gained weight. Whatever, big deal… I was fighting on whether I would post on LAD that I was having to pick it up again for a couple few months probably only need about a month, month and a half to drop the 20 pounds, but I’ll stick on it for a little longer…but realized with your cover photo of ‘Real People, Real Results’ I wasn’t being very real to the people I have apparently motivated if I didn’t tell them my realities…so I was honest :-)” – Elizabeth Butts
Can you see why we adore her?!? We love the idea of going through the journey (even though its a shorter one) with her and love that she is willing to share with everyone the very real struggles that go into losing weight and maintaining that weight loss. We truly believe that the Amino Diet is a lifestyle – which means there will be slip ups and stalls and gains throughout. It happens to the best of us, but by following the Amino Diet lifestyle and utilizing the community, you can control, manage, and conquer the struggle.
