Folate prevents age-related cognitive decline, damage to blood vessels and brain cells. Sources include:
- dark green leafy vegetables (turnip greens, mustard greens, spinach, romaine lettuce, collard greens, etc.)
- beans
- legumes
- asparagus
- brussels sprouts
- beets
- okra
