The Liquid Amino Diet protocol suggests, but does not require, a preparation phase. Two days before beginning the program eat eggs, dairy, olive oil, avocados, nuts, and start supplementing with 3 grams of Omega 3 fish oil daily, which should contain 3,000 mg of EPA/DHA. During this time, make sure you get in a couple of your favorite foods as you may not see them again for a while. To help reduce symptoms of withdrawal, it is also a good idea to stop drinking soda and start drinking water.

Phase 1 – This is the main weight loss phase of the Liquid Amino Diet. You will begin supplementing with Amino Diet Plus drops and eating a 1000 calorie diet consisting of lean proteins, vegetables, fruits, beans, and some healthy fats. Most will average a loss of 0.5-1 pound daily.  This phase can last for as little as 30 days or a maximum of 90 days, depending on how much weight you need to lose. If you would like to lose more weight after the 90 days, you can do another round after completing phase 2.  There is also an ACTIVE plan, which will allow for more calories and protein while following an exercise regimen.  Both plans come in the booklet you receive with your order.

Phase 2 – This is a 21 day phase that is important to helping you avoid yo-yo dieting.  You will stop taking the drops and increase your calories to 1500 a day.  Some will continue to lose during this phase and that is ok, but make sure you are not skimping on calories to continue weight loss or you can strip your body of amino acids and cause yourself to go into starvation mode which will do more bad then good. You will add more variety of food to you diet in this phase including whole grain bread and oatmeal.  Remember, the purpose of this phase is to create a new weight set point.  It will make maintaining your loss that much easier.

Phase 3 –   This is where you will incorporate what you have learned into living a healthier lifestyle.  Our booklet, as well as our website, will give you tips on continuing to live a healthier lifestyle so that you can maintain your losses by eating a balanced diet, exercising and taking supplements to help keep your body at its optimum.
