Preparing For The Liquid Amino Diet
The goal of the Liquid Amino Diet is rapid weight loss. Because of this, sugars and starches are cut out during phase 1 – or the main weight loss phase. That means that for the first week of the Liquid Amino Diet, your body will be going through a detox of sorts. Symptoms of this can include hunger, irritability, headaches, and sleepiness. There are a few things that you can do to help combat these symptoms:
- Eat healthy fats during the two days leading up to your first day on the Liquid Amino Diet. For those of you that are familiar with the HCG diet, this should NOT be considered an official load phase and you will not be supplementing with our Amino Diet Plus drops. While you should take this opportunity to eat foods that you normally crave, don’t go overboard. Eat eggs, olive oil, avocados, nuts, and start supplementing with a minimum of two grams of Omega3 fish oil daily.
- Soda of any kind (including diet) is not allowed during phase 1 of the diet. People who drink soda often should begin cutting back on, or completely eliminating soda before beginning the program. This can help to lessen the detox and will make your first week on the program much easier to stick to.
- One final thing that we recommend to help you prepare for the Liquid Amino Diet is to start drinking more water. The minimum recommended amount is 64 ounces each day, although you should get closer to half your body weight in ounces daily.
