Importance of Hydration
You’ve all heard that you should drink 8 glasses of water per day. Thats a good start but while on the Liquid Amino Diet we actually recommend you drink half your body weight in ounces each day. Water actually assists in shedding body fat, so it’s important that you get the right amount. How can you SHED BODY FAT simply by drinking H2O?
1. The liver is responsible for metabolizing fat. It also picks up the slack for the kidneys when they aren’t working properly. Kidneys need a lot of water to funciton correctly so when you deprive them of water,t he liver has to pick up the slack, which lowers its productivity. By default the liver is not able to metabolize as much fat as it would if the kedneys were doing what they are supposed to do.
2. Water intake also helps with muscle recovery, leaving you less sore at the end of the day.
3. Water actually helps protect the brain and spinal cord, it is the main transporter of nutrients and waste, it helps maintain electrolyte levels, and it regulates body temperature.
4. It will also help tighten your skin resulting in less sagging with weight loss and a younger look.
Here are a few tips to help you get your water in daily: Drink 3-4 liters per day, keep a water bottle with you all the time, drink the majority of your water prior to 5-6 pm.
