Ginger Beef with Broccoli

Ginger Beef with Broccoli

  • 5 ounces of beef steak sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli chopped
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp ginger root minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt - to taste (use minimal salt)
  • Splash of soy sauce


  • Mix water, soy sauce and garlic and marinate sliced beef for 15 minutes
  • When done, chop onion and caramelize in fry pan
  • Add beef to pan (set marinade aside for later) and cook with onion until almost done (remove from pan leaving juices)
  • Add broccoli to pan/juices and cook for about 2 minutes
  • Add marinade, ginger and salt and simmer uncovered reducing fluid
  • Return beef and onions to pan, warm together.
  • Serve immediately
