Eating On Protocol
As with any diet, there are consequences to cheating and the more you do it, the more likely it is that you will not succeed on the Liquid Amino Diet. Mistakes of this nature can cause your weight loss to stall for days. Before you start the diet, clean out your house of all sugary and processed foods. This will help get rid of any temptation. Keep healthy food around you at all times. If you start to feel hungry than grab some celery, broccoli, peppers, and so on, and eat until you feel satisfied.
Although our diet drops can help control appetite, while on the Liquid Amino Diet, it can be hard to avoid food that we used to eat before the diet such as cake, candy, ice cream, and fast food. You may feel that you “deserve” to have a cheating day because you stuck to the diet all week. Perhaps maybe you feel like you “deserve it” because you had a bad day but cake is not the answer! It is easy to sabotage yourself by storing the wrong food in the house or forgetting to plan your meals and end up eating bad food in desperation; in fact, we are often our own worst enemy.
We have seen some people have success with “caution foods”. These foods seem like they should be fine but for whatever reason can cause some people to stall or their loss to slow. You can try them but if you notice a stall take them back out and stick with the approved foods.. Every “body” processes foods differently so it can be a case of trial and error on the foods not on the approved foods list. The bottom line is if you want the BEST results, stick with the approved foods. In addition, it is important to drink water throughout the day, not just with meals.
Focus on your goals and remember that food is not in control of you, in fact, what we put into our bodies is one of the few things we can truly control. Think of how you will feel when you achieve your final goal. Plan a way to reward you something that is non-food related like a great new outfit, or a night on the town.
