Drinking water to stay healthy!
Drinking water is an important part of the the Liquid Amino Diet because it helps keep your system flushed of toxins that tend to build up while you are burning fat for fuel. For many years the general rule of thumb has been to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. With the Liquid Amino Diet protocol we recommend drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of water or ideally 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day.
Water actually assists in shedding body fat, so it’s important that you get the right amount. It helps by keeping your kidneys functioning properly (with proper hydration), muscle recovery at the end of the day, helps brain and spinal health, and can help retain younger looking skin. These are all great reasons to make drinking ½ your body weight in ounces of water daily a habit for life.
These are the best times to drink water according to a cardiac specialist :
- 2 glasses of water upon waking helps activate internal organs
- 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal helps with digestion
- 1 glass of water before taking a bath/shower can help lower blood pressure
- 1 glass of water before going to bed can help avoid stroke or heart attack
