Constipation and the Liquid Amino Diet
Constipation is defined as only having a bowel movement 3 times or less a week and can sometimes occur while on the Liquid Amino Diet. But don’t worry! While on the 1000 calorie diet your body is using the calories for energy, restoring and repairing. The drops supply the majority of the energy by letting the stored fat free, so there is very little the body is wasting, this is why some people experience very little bowel movements. Some people think they are constipated if they do not have a bowel movement every day, but it’s normal to eliminate four to five times a week, depending on the individual. Of course, our first recommendation is to check your water intake. Make sure you are consuming a minimum of 64 ounces daily, and always try for 1/2 your body weight in ounces. The next step in relieving constipation is adding more fiber to your diet. The best way of adding fiber to your diet is increasing the quantity of fruits and vegetables that are eaten, which is a large part of the Liquid Amino Diet.
