Weight Loss Program ReviewBefore LAD I had difficulty getting to, and staying, asleep.  I always felt lethargic and like my head was permanently foggy.  Now, I am sleeping great, I no longer feel sick in the stomach and bloated, and my head feels clear.  It’s an overall feeling of well-being.

I’ve always been a “rule-follower.”  I’m a pretty black and white person, so reading the book and learning what the guidelines were for this diet was really easy.  The book is pretty clear and easy to follow.   With the exception of a few scheduled cheat days, I haven’t really strayed from the approved food list, and I’ve done great.  The hardest part for me was learning to not compare myself to other LAD dieters.  Some of the other dieters seem to lose the weight much, MUCH faster than I do and I would get frustrated by that.  Since I’ve accepted that my body is just different than everyone else’s, and I lose at a slower pace that others, I’ve been much happier. At day 63, I’ve lost 21 lbs and 16.5 total inches!   I’m a little more than halfway to my ultimate, pre-baby goal weight.  I’ve come this far with LAD and I fully intend to finish the journey with LAD.

Does the Amino Diet Work

Since I’ve never been a patient person, I LOVE the almost ‘instant gratification’ of this plan.  You see the results of your food behaviors the very next day!  And while I’ve tried other diets, none have worked this quickly for me (even if I lose slower than everyone else).  In addition, I’ve learned about what eating “healthy” REALLY means and believe that this knowledge will stick with me long after I’ve met my goals.  I’m looking forward to not just being  thin, but being healthy for a lifetime.
